My fiance and I stopped here the day after Thanksgiving for authentic poke and it did not disappoint. It is funnily located at the back of a wine shop (which also sells cigars), but the food was delicious! We got different versions of the Ahi Tuna + Crab combo bowl. Now that we're back in NYC, wish we could eat... More

Tamura's sells a lot of things... beer, wine, sake, liquor, seafood..., but I go there for the beer and sparkling wines. The beer is competitively priced and the selection of sparkling wines decent. Generally, there are 2-3 people purchasing poke or other selections from the seafood counter (this tells me it must be good.) Regarding beer, don't forget to check... More

We love Tamura's and frequent the Kaimuki location off Waialae Ave. They have a big selection of wines at all price points from the US and other countries. They always have solid bargain wines on special. But don't forget to check out the wine room through a nondescript door on the left upon entry. They house their most exclusive wines... More

What I like about this place is no matter what your budget is the workers are really helpful. I grab wines monthly from $20, $40, $70 and drink them all depending who we dine with. They also have higher end wines against the wall by the entrance. You need to flag down an employee for the key to open up... More

Stopped by Tamura's newest Maui location on Lipoa Street in Kihei. It was about 11:30 a.m. and just finished a long beach walk and still had not eaten any breakfast. So it was fresh Poke for breakfast. We tried the spicy crab Poke and garlic ginger ahi Poke. Poke was very fresh and excellent tasting. Store was well very well... More

Finding this spot online, it's hard to believe that the best poke we had on Oahu can be found in the very back of this wine store. The rice bowls are to die for - warm sushi rice seasoned perfectly with a variety of different kinds of poke to be placed on top. Be sure to pick up some if... More

I love this place plus my fave staff person, Stephanie! As much as some of the wine prices are too costly, they have a wonderful selection of wine, beer and her liquor. Plus, they have the best poke bowls when the fish they use are fresh and not previously frozen! Parking sucks but I know what I want to get...so... More

Went to the the Kailua location. Better wine selection than the Safeway next door. Poke was better at the Fresh Catch, but Tamura had a broader selection and slightly lower price.

They have a great liquor collection at all prize levels, and occasional tasting in store. Parking is a bit crazy with cars co I got & going but if U wait a couple of minutes, someone is sure to leave. When U are there must try their great pokes! This is one of the few places where U can get... More

i go here for the great poke. Lots of variety. I believe Tamura's has a reputation of having a very extensive collection of wines. Before heading out to Morio's Sushi I usually grab a couple of bottles of good sake from Tamura's.
