if you want to hang out by the water ... especially if your hotel isn't on the water in waikiki, you can hang out here, bbq, play touch football, enjoy the sand and water, etc.

This is definitely a beach the locals come to. Plenty of FREE PARKING and a lot of space to span out. Very calm waters. A lot of locals will bring pop up tents or have birthday parties here.

Had a nice walk back along this beach towards Waikiki Beach from the shopping centre. Water was clear and didn't have many rocks to hurt your feet.

Yes, it is open during the fireworks. I believe the park closes at 10pm.
