If you're in Hawaii, Honolulu for Christmas, you must swing by the city hall! Someone loves putting on a show around Christmas. This year we were treated to an exhibit of Christmas trees - all designed by local organisations and businesses.

There was a beautiful display for Christmas at the city hall. At night, there is a display of lights too, and some stalls like Leonard's malasadas. The decor was neat and artistic!!! Worth the time!

Happened upon city Hall quite by accident. We noticed all kinds of Christmas displays outside this lovely building and stopped to ask what it was and were invited in. The work they put into all the holiday displays was spectacular and worth the visit anytime during the holiday season

During Christmas time, there are statues all over the place. There is Santa, Mrs. Claus, Snow men, Rudolph, and a lot more. There are all sorts of Christmas trees inside the Honolulu Hale (main building) there also vendors, games and prizes. However, whenever it's not the holiday season, it's just buildings. They're not open and not very popular at all.... More

When you are in the area of Iolani Palace, there are several buildings that house government offices. The Honolulu Hale is the city hall, but I didn't find anything really striking about it.

Except for holiday decoration there is little to see here, except for the building seen in videos. Interesting choice of architecture, Spanish Mission in Honolulu.

Going to the event, after leaving discovered our electronics devices where not in the car. IT was a Friday evening. After going on-line to google and trying many ways to get a phone no. to an open office (security or anyone especially since the event is open late in the evening) of this event is impossible. You have to wait... More

An annual tradition of families in Hawaii is to tour the decorated trees and wreaths at City Hall aka Honolulu Hale. From the majestic tree on the front lawn to handcrafted wreaths on the inside there's something for all ages to enjoy.

This is a lovely building in the middle of downtown Honolulu. Worth walking by, even if you don't have time to go in. The architecture is a little different from the rest of the architecture in the rest of the city.

Each year the Christmas tree lighting is a gala event with a spectacular parade, carnival-like food booths, and entertainment. The ceremony itself is fashioned in a manner that each mayor, since Mayor Frank Fasi first established this event, personalizes. Just one night, once a year. It is delightful.
