Actor General Grant told us to see this place first, which was well worth the visit. The restrooms are outside, before going inside. Did not realize Vicksburg had this much history. Any questions ask for Bubba.

So much to see! It was worth our time! Make sure you go upstairs and see the courtroom. They have a small gift shop, also. Entry is $5 or $4.50 for Seniors.

The building itself is incredible, the history inside was awesome. We all learned so much about the civil war and the South. Be sure to take your time and go through each room. The staff was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely a must do

Very interesting a lot of coo old historic items. It is nice that you can walk around at your own pace and read about the items.

Without a doubt, this is one of the quirkiest museums I have ever visited. It is chock full of Confederate artifacts, some of which are for sale at the gift shop. The Courtroom is truly impressive and transports you to a bygone era. The exhibits...More

We almost did not stop here, but so glad we did! It houses so much interesting history. Much focuses on the Civil War period, but there are interesting exhibits of costumes, dolls, antique furnishings, Native American history of the area, and also a gift/book shop....More

A local shopkeeper recommended we visit ... glad she did. Interesting, enjoyable and worth taking an hour or so to see the exhibits.
