Spring Grove is an amazingly beautiful place to visit. This historic cemetery is full of interesting headstones, statues and small buildings. In the spring, gorgeous, colorful flowers fill each area. Everywhere you look, trees bloom in soft, spring colors....Pear Trees, Crab Apple and Cherry Trees, Red Buds, Dogwoods.... along with huge hedges of bright yellow Forsythia. Then in fall, those... Spring Grove is beautiful, especially when the blooms are abundant in April. There are Spring Grove vehicles that drive around, assuming for the safety of visitors, but caution needs to be exercised due to the many remote areas. Cannot give a review higher than average due to the poor upkeep of the many veterans markers who are buried there, which... More

This is a large beautiful cemetery with a lot of history. Many famous Cincinnatians are buried here. There are many unusual markers and monuments including a controversial Sponge Bob Square Pants one. I believe that there are seven lakes on the property. Many books have been written about this place. Tram tours with a docent are available at certain times... More

Spring Grove cemetery and arboretum is by far more than just a cemetery, it is a record of history, architectural design and beautiful horticultural design. My favorite season to visit is springtime with the blooming of trees and annuals. The colors are striking set against the many ponds and landscapes. People come to relax at lunch, walk/jog, they even get... More

My husband and I go to Spring Grove often. Each season of the year offers it's own spectacular natural beauty. My husbands' parents, grandparents and great-grandparents are resting there, so we go there often to place flowers on the graves. We also purchased plots there, and our counselor took us on a tour of the cemetery and told us many... More

Be sides Spring Groves fabulous collection of trees and shrubs, the monuments and mausoleums are fantastic, There is a mausoleum at the NNE end of the main lake that is a replica of a Gothic cathedral with gargoyles and flying buttresses and is easily 25 to 30 feet in height. Get the map at the office, it's really worth your... More

It sounds odd but this is a lovely place to enjoy. There is a lot of Cincinnati history to be found here. If you have a larger group, see about getting a guided tour.

Definitely not your typical cemetery. It's a beautiful landscaped park complete with a stone chapel. Apple trees, willows, every kind of tree imaginable set in the perfect surroundings. A place to get a way from it all and step back in time in a fairy land world. It's a special place for photographers to come to get the perfect background... More

What a lovely place to explore on a nice day. So much history, and such beautiful landscaping. Went here on a very rare sunny day in the 70's in February - is was the best thing we did in Cincinnati the whole weekend, and we did many things!
