Great tour of the heart of Yellowstone with Old Faithful, Morning Glory and several other geysers. All can be accessed from the boardwalk. We had little kids and it was great as we could use the stroller.

This geyser basin is most famous for Old Faithful but there's a lot of other thermal features to see here. We were lucky enough to see Old Faithful erupt three times just by luck - every time we stopped by the visitor center to go...More

Upper Geyser Basin has the world's largest concentration of geysers and is home to 150 geysers, including the famous Old Faithful. Eruption time of 5 of the largest geysers can be predicted - Old Faithful, Castle, Daisy, Grand and Riverside. There is approximately 1.5 mi/2.4...More

What a beautiful place, but really crowded. To avoid the crowds get there SUPER early in the morning, or right before sunset.

This was my favorite winter area to photograph. The colors in each basin was different. The hot basins steaming against the snow in the cold temps made the area look like Hades! It was amazing even grass growing in the area. Sometimes bison hang in...More

What a beatiful site. So many bubbling boiling colorful spots. The colors are truly magnificent and well worth spending a few hours.

Yea, we were amazed by these formations and the color they generate. We weren't so impressed with the smell of sulfur in the air, but then again, that's park part of the reason this place is called Yellowstone. You better be prepared for a LONG...More

“A Wonderful Stroll” Reviewed November 5, 2011 I explored on the Upper Geyser Basin in August 2010 under warm, sunny skies, again under freezing rain in May 2011, and again under cool sunshine in September 2011. It's a great place to enjoy at a leisurely...More

Hi Daniel: This is kind of a loaded question. That is if you are to go directly from Old Faithful up to the Morning Pool (near the end of the upper geyser basin) it is 1.5 miles. Depending on how often you stop, how fast... More
