the grand loop is a scenic drive. we took our convertible and were thoroughly amazed at how beautiful the scenery of the park are

This road is a good place to view bison and perhaps elk as you drive to get to different areas of the park.

Visited here on vacation. Spent a whole day driving the loop, communing with nature, taking hundreds of pictures of scenic areas, and wildlife just beside the road, roaming free! Cannot recommend going here highly enough!

If you're in Yellowstone in the summer - the best advice is to get up early (6am). Take your shower the night before. Eat a light breakfast & get out on the road. You should get through road work without problems. Be aware... More

Take the Grand Loop Road with the stopovers. Check out the accomodations inside the park. West Yellowstone Village was very touristic for me... Spend a night at West Thumb and/or Canyon Village. Much depends on the weather... More
