This offers a variety of different thermal features, and you can usually see animals too. We have seen a very large grizzly (2015) and numerous elk on our visits. Nice view of the lake too.

It is a short walk around the basin. It is amazing to see the water bubbling due to the heat from the geyser.

This is a good loop, with a pleasant view on Yellowstone Lake, though it isn't surprising as others in this park. If you have time see it, if not go and visit Upper Geyser Basin or Midway Geyser Basin, I think they are better.

This was our first ranger program and it was excellent. Gave a great overview of the geology of the area.

It was a nice easy walk around and lots of different types of pools to look at. The walk next to Yellowstone Lake was nice even in the rain.

The geyser basin is so cool! It is very stinky because of the sulfur, but something you have to stop and see!

This thermal group sits right on the shore of Yellowstone Lake, and is very beautiful because of that. Several of the springs will be drowned in the Lake until later in the summer, but you can still see their cones off shore.

Flow of hot water bubbling up and into Lake Yellowstone was eerie and unique. An Elk wandered close by. Saw bearprints in the concrete walkway of the parking lot near the restrooms
