This is more of a review of the park as a whole and covers a variety of sights. Be prepared for a long wait to get into the park if you are visiting in the busy months of July / August. I think we were lined up outside of the park for about 30 mins just trying to get in.... More

Had never heard of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone before this trip, but we were very impressed. The different colors and layers of the walls look like a child's kaleidoscope, changing as the sun moves.

Even in the cold/wind/fog and rain this is a spectacular canyon. Snow coach ride there was quite fun. Viewed the canyon from both sides and various points.

We loved hiking in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone! We hiked both the Lower Falls Brink Trail (3/8 mi. and 600 foot drop) and the Uncle Tom's Trail (328 steps down in the canyon for a beautiful view of the Lower Falls), and although both trails were steep, they were both worth it! We also stayed at the new Canyon... More

Busses crowd into the parking lots all year round. Go after Labor Day and get up early to beat them to the best spots. Don't be afraid to pull off the road into one of the hundreds of spaces to enjoy your little piece of Yellowstone to yourself.

The stairs might get you on the way back up, but it is an absolute must. Really remarkable and great for young kids. We cannot wait to go again.

Such a beautiful and magnificent place. They have some steps to go down and get best view but are pretty steep and before you even start the trail to descend it warns you of who shouldn't attempt it. I didn't do it as I'm affraid of heights and wasn't in good physical shape but my daughter and husband went down... More

Yellowstone National Park holds beautiful and untouched land of the United States. My family and friends took part in the Yellowstone Lower Loop full day tour, stopping at many attractions. On the tour, we went to Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Grand Prismatic Spring, and Firehole Canyon. Yellowstone opened my eyes to how beautiful the natural world is. One of the... More

This is a beautiful geological feature. There are several access points and all are worth a visit. The Yellowstone River has cut this 20 mile canyon with 3 outstanding water falls, the Lower Fall being the highest.
