This arch is over 100 years old and it has some interesting history. This is located near Gardiner, Montana at the north entrance to the park. There is some interesting information about the arch, which includes a time capsule. It is fun to compare old...More

Seeing this arch is inspiring! It really gives you a sense of how old the park really is as well as how important it is. Take some time to hang out by the arch and read the inscriptions.

The arch was not built until Roosevelt visited, ergo the name. It is just fun to stop here and sense the history of the park and it's importance to the world of preservation.

Worth the extra drive to see this Arch. This is one of my favorite areas of the park. The town of Gardiner is right outside of this entrance. A cute town to check out.

Do soe reading about it. We started here and worked our way down the west side of the park the first full day. This a lot of driving, just be prepared for that. But the arch is a great place to start.

A good photo to introduce one's collection of photos about the park. T. Roosevelt did not sign the bill that established this park. That honor goes to Grant. Roosevelt, however, dedicated the park, Interesting that this park's remote location and harsh environment made it difficult...More

This town (gardiner) north of Yellowstone entrance was so quaint and was nice to not have park food for a night.

So, we had to go here so we could say we'd been to Montana. The arch is kind of out there in the middle of nothing, but the town right by it gives a nice break from park lodges and park food. Stop in the...More
