Really High and Beautiful

Grab a map and leave yourself lots of time to stop plenty all over the park. So many spots to pull over and enjoy this great wonder of nature.

It was spring when I decided to go to Yosemite to spend the day. It will be very fresh in hot days to be close to the falls.

We love hiking to Bridalveil Falls. The hike is short and easy, except during the springtime when the spray-soaked inclined path can be slippery (near the falls). But that should be nothing when you are being a little extra careful. Of the three different times hiking the falls, we enjoyed the hike during April the most. The water was roaring... More

It is a quick little stop with a small hike as you exit the park or heading to Glacier point. Beware of the nasty outhouse by the parking lot. It was sneaking so bad we had to walk around it. I have seen quite a lot of waterfalls so this one is an average one. The rocks are extremely slippery,... More

This was our first stop in the park. A great introduction to yosemite. It does get busy here and the falls and scenery get better as you go. We had a short walk up. It is very icy just now and lots if people were slipping and falling - wear appropriate footwear so you can walk all the way up... More

The falls were flowing! The walk up to the falls was limited due to all the snow and very icy. The trail on the left side over the bridge was beautiful with the stream and the falls in the background. Careful walking. Even the cars in the parking lot were sliding - drive careful!

Lovely walk from the car park to the viewing spot for Bridalveil falls. As it was late summer, there was not much water flow, however, it was still worth visiting.

I love Bridal Veil Falls. The more you watch it, the more you realize it never falls the same from one minute to the next. Kind of like marriage!! This is a great place for kids 7 and up to play and explore nature on the rocks! The hike up to the falls is beautiful and gradual, but a bit... More

Dangerous!! If there is ice around it is hazardous! Perhaps if the rangers looked after the place and thought about the safety of the visitors it would be amazing, we had to slide down the ice on our bottoms even though we were wearing mountain boots!!

If you are heading into the Valley from Tunnel View this will be the first attraction you can personally visit. There is a good sized parking lot and the fall is only a 5-10 minute walk along a paved path. You can easily walk right up to the stream that flows from the fall itself and you could easily stay...
