Breathtaking drive with plenty of places to take in the scenery . Take a coat as we were surprised by the drop in temperature, especially after death valley the day before.

Stunningly beautiful drive as stated by other reviews. Gets much colder than we expected, it was high twenty’s in El Portal but snow and ice on the route, plus smoke from recent forest fires to add to the ingredients for the day. But the highlight...More

We were led to believe this road was scary in places but we found it okay especially compared to other roads we had travelled around Yosemite. You can stop at Olmstead Point and get to see the back of Half Dome from the carpark. Walk...More

Nice scenic drive on Tioga pass with lots of scenic views, places to camp or hike. Great view of Tioga lake, famous spots such as Olmstead point, Cathedral peaks, tuoloumne meadows. It's a long drive but worth it for the views. Glad we did this...More

The views coming in this way are just fantastic every where you look. The road goes by beautiful mountain lakes and the vistas are fantastic. We even had snow on the ground in late September

We had to wait for an unseasonal snow fall to clear, but it was more than worth the wait. Traffic was not too bad, roads were safe if driven appropriately
