My wife and I did this trek after we'd recovered from our half dome epic. This is only slightly shorter than that one and doesn't have the epic ( or terrifying!) climb of the dome, and, truth be told, it's got more scenic variety than...More

Well I will be the first to yield a poor review. It is a moderately difficult hike but nothing an average fit adult can not handle. Technically it is simple. The view is spectacular but very best at Glacier Point before you ever start walking....More

Up front I will say I loved this hike but the Mrs. hated it. Be forewarned that there is a downhill AND uphill portion. First several miles are easygoing and carefree but after awhile switchbacks start taking you back up and quite close to the...More

At 9.2 miles, this trail makes for a pretty full day of hiking (when combined with a lunch stop at Vernal Falls or some other scenic stop along the way). While parts of the trail can be quite crowded in the summer (i.e., around the...More

This was a peaceful trail from Glacier Point to Nevada Falls. It got very crowded on the trek down to the valley.

I had read lots of reviews of this trail. All indicated that THIS is the not to be missed hike in Yosemite. And, I simply disagree. It is OK. Leaving from Glacier Point, the views are fantastic. But the trail quickly descends to the Illilouette...More

Instead of driving up to the view point to see half dome or even climb the half dome, this trail in combination with the four mile trail was the best option for me and two friends. Parking is possible quite close to where the 4...More

Beautiful hike. Took us 6 hours total. We booked a bus ticket in advance from Yosemite valley lodge which took us up to glacier point and then we hiked down. I'd recommend to do it this way as you can see all the major attractions...More

This year is unusual since there is so much snow still in the high country. I have been told there are 8 foot drifts. Before taking this hike this year I would check to make sure the trail is open. If it is then make sure... More

By Now I figure you have already visited the Park and Hiked the trail. I know if you did you had plenty of time to get to the bottom from Glacier Point. After taking the 10 am bus the earliest you will be at trail head would... More
