Truly astonishing. Tunnel view is the gateway to Yosemite Valley. It offers breathtaking views of El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridal Veil Falls. Don't forget to record the exit of the tunnel and to bring a tripod to optimize your day. One-of-a-kind place worldwide

This is perhaps the most photographed site in Yosemite - and for good reason - it is fantastic. Early morning or late afternoon are dramatic - clouds add to the view. Don't miss it.

What can I say, the view is fabulous. Came through in the evening and picture photo ops are spectacular!

Too much hype, plenty of other NPS sites with great views and with out mega crowds and half dome size holes in the road, confusing detours, & important sites closed.

This is my favorite way to say "hello" and "goodbye" to all the splendor that is Yosemite. If you want pictures without people in them, the right side of the road (as you enter) has a lovely little trail to get some better introductory views. This stop is especially gorgeous with Bridalveil Falls flowing in full force. So beautiful.

We did the Yosemite Valley Floor Tour and this was a photo opp stop along the way. This is more beautiful than you can imagine. And, the tour allows for plenty of time to view the area, take pictures, etc.

This classic view of Yosemite Valley after entering a tunnel is fantastic! Of course finding a parking place was the challenge on a pretty blue sky day with waterfalls galore. Yes, a must stop. Be patient and you will be rewarded

Nothing compares to the amazing feeling as you come through the Wawona Tunnel out to the amazing Tunnel View Lookout. Being as it is such an amazing view it is always very crowded unless you are there early in the morning (when the light generally isn't very good) but for a bit more solitude you can hike up the trail... This may be in the running for the most beautiful place on the planet. Pictures, while great, do not do it justice. The fact that it was a beautiful day in the spring and the waterfalls were flowing made it even better. It is not possible to explain how great and amazing it is.
