The Blue Lagoon is about 10km from Vang Vieng town and can be reached either by rented bicycle, motor bike and ATV or a hire a tuk tuk. Direction to the Blue Lagoon is clear and easy to find. Alternatively, there are day tour package which include blue lagoon as well. Basically the lagoon is separated into 2 sections. 1... More

The lagoon is pretty small, with a rope swing and a tree you can jump off of into the water. Underwhelming, especially if you've been to anything like Kuang Si Waterfall near Luang Prabang. Lots of tourists screaming on the ziplines above. So, some tourists around here obviously, but it was interesting to observe the mix of people. We hiked... More

You can expect something more naturalistic while this pool full of tourists is boring after 10 minutes. The surrounding is beautiful. So better walk in the near jungle than jump another time in the puddle.

Was there in the early morning of Nov, not crowded, cold blue water, so don't expect me to jump into the lagoon. You can rent motorcycle to be there 10,000 kip for crossing the bridge and another 10,000 for entering to the Lagoon and cave

Hire a bike to go here (10K in town) The place is busy and a kiss-me-quick sort of outing, but fun. Jump off trees into the lagoon... but do not expect solitude!!!!

Actually the blue lagoon is overrated, lots of people and you can swim in the pool. It is quite small and not at all what I expect from the name. If you don't go there you have not missed anything.

Blue lagoon was a lovely discovery for us as we desperately needed to freshen ourselves up after a long bike ride. However, it's mediocre if you come here on a 'meh' or rainy day. Lots of Chinese tourists and selfie sticks. Cave is more impressive but please please bring a proper shoe wear with you- I went inside with my... More

We came on a Saturday around 11am and it was completely packed with tourists. We were so disappointed and turned away that we decided to walk up the steep hill to the caves. Afterwards, we came back down to try again. It was still packed, so we stood with 30-40 other tourists who huddled around the blue lagoon to watch... More

As they say it is not the target what makes you happy but the way. We went there by bicycle and as we heve tried to pass the following village we have seen soldiers by the board (a piece of rope ) we have stopped and didn't know what to do. The soldier said it us just a local fest... More

The lagoon is nice but basically it's just a small swimming pool you can swing across and jump in The cave actually impressed me more, bring suitable footwear and a head torch if you have one, if not you can rent one The cave was so big and looked amazing, you can go in really far but it felt more...
