I was surprised that one of the museum staff played the old radio. Only to be told that there's another radio inside it. Hahaha. I was almost impressed! The place was very neat & very good for picture taking. The place just opened when we went there (around 10am on a Sunday) so we had the place to ourselves.

Not a big museum at all but worth the visit anyway. Really about an hour visit would be good, not an all day activity.

This museum is in an old warehouse. The city did a nice job renovating the warehouse into a nice museum and restaurant area. The museum has some interesting collections about the local area and the nearby Mexican restaurant is nice as well. Plan about 1 hour for this place if you like reading about the exhibits.

On our way to the North of Philippines, Ilocos Norte Museum was one of "Must See"s. With its simple but attractive building, the museum demonstrates both the architecture of Spanish era and the objects of local industry, art, and culture. One can find the gradual change of clothing from endogenous to some modern style, along with the tools used for... More

Nice building and simple exhibits. Some English signage available. The complex surrounding the museum is nice- a coffee shop and other museums.

I went to the Museo Ilocos Norte alone last June and the flow was amazing - from old household and farming materials to the bahay na bato house model to the new/modern exhibits! The bahay na bato model mesmerized me more. I became more familiar with the house layout and it really felt like I am part of the exhibit!

First of all, there is entrance fee. It's a bit too hot inside. Just like any other museum, the area isn't that huge. They have two floors, but the second floor is just a small space. There are lots of stuffs here all which show Ilocano's fashion sense to lifestyle. Two things I like inside the museums are the "Kalesa"... More

The displays were not labelled and explained much. There is a photo exhibit when we visited (photos taken by Chinese nationals) photos of people, and places in Ilocos Norte.

If you want to learn more about Ilocos, then this is the place to be! This museum also houses different household items used way, way back in time. The entrance fee is 50php.
