I was looking for nice beaches close to Bonifacio (closer than Porto Vecchio). The receptionist suggested the Sperone beaches, a mere 15m drive away. The parking was packed as we went on a Saturday and in the afternoon, but we found a spot somewhat close to the parking lot. You have to walk past the Piantarella beach, which isn’t very nice. It’s small with rough sand and lots of seaweed. Petite Sperone is a 5-10 easy walk and much nicer! We pushed on another 10m easy walk on a clear trail and were rewarded with Grand Sperone. There are no facilities and it’s a beautiful beach. The water is just as nice as Palombaggia but the sand is finer. Absolutely worth the effort. I wish I'd had a whole day to spend there.

We visited on the last day of June, parking our car on the road in Piantarella. The walk to Petit Sperone is about 10 minutes, then you walk on for a further 10 minutes or so to Grande Sperone. I don't think you can get to Grande Sperone without passing through Petit Sperone. We carried nothing with us, so the walk was easy. If we did it again, we would again take only water and beach towels, swimming and enjoying both beaches, then returning for drinks and something to eat at the restaurant right on the beach where we parked the car. Grande Sperone is obviously bigger, not an intimate bay like Petit Sperone. It is much quieter and has the feeling of being a little wilder. Petit Sperone feels like a very large hotel swimming pool. Both are stunning but very different, and absolutely worth the effort to get to. Go try both! Prettiest beaches we saw In Corsica!

When Petit Sperone becomes overcrowded, this is an oasis of calm. Larger, just as White in sand and turquoise in water. Long Strip of knee and then hip deep water. Beautiful rocks providing shadow for few lucky ones. The no 1 most beautiful beach in Corsica on our 12 day around-the-coast trip. Might also not be overcrowded in high season, as not everyone wants to walk up to 30 min from the parking lot at Piantarella. No public bathroom; no Café or Restaurant.

Its a bit further away from the Petit Sperone, but the 15 min walk it totally worthy. The beach is bigger and is really nice in low season when there are less tourists !

This beach is one of the best in Corsica. Very hard to access (20min walk) but superb water and sand. It is calm and a great place to relax. Highly recommended and top memories!
