It was alright , quite interesting but be warned plenty of mosquitos, you need swimwear on and a towel as you need to swim in the water in the dark to get the desired affect of the luminous water.

$60 for each person which included to and from transportation, rum punch and the boat ride to the lagoon. The boat fit about 20 individuals. Life preserves were available and one lifeguard per boat. The lifeguard, two photographers and the captain are part of the crew. The boat goes in about 1/2 mile or less from the business location and... More

We were unsure what to expect on this trip except for swimming in glowing water. And we did just that. As you move your body around the water starts to glow around you. It had rained the day before so the guide said that it doesn't get as bright after rain because the lake is all mixed up so I... More

The experience was well worth the $60. If you go you have to get in the water to enjoy the experience. Make sure you go right at sunset the moon can effect your experience. It is one that should not be missed. After the water experience they have. Show with what I call a "Dragon Fire breathing Man". If you... More

The glistening waters luminous lagoon is a sight you don't want to miss. It was absolutely beautiful. This attraction isn't advertised well at resorts. The only reason I knew about it was because I did a lot of research before we took our vacation to Jamaica. I am so glad we decided to go see it. If you go you... More

This is one experience that I won't forget...I was the only one in our party of 9 who went in the water. Everything glowed - this is a must-see in one's lifetime! When our little boat left the dock, I thought the bottom of the boat had lighting underneath is we were glowing from below. As soon as there is... More

On my recent trip to Jamaica I was fascinated with the glowing lagoon and thought I must visit. The cost of the tour was $55 US a bit pricey but hey I was on vacation and figured I needed to experience this. Hopped on the bus, tour guide was great, then we got to location and everything seemed rushed so... More

All you see are advertisements of Glistening Waters at the Luminous Lagoon, but be aware that there are four businesses that operate at the Luminous Lagoon. Our tour company (Amstar) took us to a small operation behind some houses. The real Glistening Waters has a restaurant, hotel and boat ride. The one we were taken to had the boat ride... More

The lagoon is a must see, as there's not many of these in the world and it's completely natural. I'm glad I did it, and went in for a swim and for that I've given it a 4 star rating. It was a little scary swimming in the dark and look out for floating foliage… it startled a few people!... More
