Long and dark trip through the mangrove. Not for kids. And instructors were not completely in control. But very disappointing that we could not see ANY of the great light from the planktons we saw in the brochures. Our driver the day after told us that they were gone but they still sold these trips. We will try get our... More

If you want to see bioluminescent plankton, just walk to the bay after dark and watch the waves come in. The waves glow and it is very interesting and quite beautiful. However, only go out with one of the kayaking companies if you want to be scared because it was really terrifying. You kayak in the dark through a mangrove... More

Definitely go!! Great guide and really lovely experience. Kids would love it too. We took a tour from San Juan to the bay. The 2 man kayaks were well balanced so no risk of falling in to the water. Lovely paddle through the mangroves before we reached the bay.

Most people kayak during the day where you can see everything. But this one was different. There was rain and wind, but kayaking at night was a great and different experience. It was so relaxing and beautiful. Kayaking through the area was so calming, even on a rainy and windy day. You can barely feel it going through the course... More

After we booked the trip through Kayaking Puerto Rico, we got the message from the Company telling us that the condition is not as good as expected. We can change or cancel our trip if we want. Otherwise they will apply the discount for our tour.We decided to still go for the trip. The trip was organizing pretty well. There... More

I would not recommend this to anyone!! We chose the night trip which started around 9 pm. It is a 2.5 miles kayaking and mostly through a forest. The kayaks need to go through a narrow part and in complete darkness ( I mean complete darkness because even the moon light can not get through the trees around you). Considering... More

Have taken house guests on many occasions and they all have been amazed and delighted. I would recommend this to be a top spot visit on a trip to Puerto Rico.

Great time awesome tour, and wonderful guides. Make sure not a full moon when you book for better viewing. They did offer canopy to get results but I would have booked a different day if I had thought about light pollution.

This is just my my family's opinion on the Kayak in the Bioluminescent Bay. Sorry for the length of the review, but it's fresh in my head and I wanted to give a full review. Our tour was given by Group Services (GSI)....I'm sure others may think differently, but this was our experience. Tour time was 7-8:30 PM. We went... More

25 minute kayak to the pool, 20 minutes to play around, 25 minute paddle back. Try to go when moonlight is low. Don't bother bringing a camera; not only will everything you bring get totally soaked.. there isn't much to capture on camera.. it is more about experiencing the nature. Kayaking through the trees is beautiful, at times it is... More
