It is the cheapest way to see the beautiful islands of Puerto Rico. Be aware locals have priority and the schedule is unreliable. It could be cancelled unannounced because of rough seas or mechanical issues. The cabin is highly air conditioned so bring sweater or sweatshirt. The ride is about an hour in one of two inside cabins.

Bare minimums. At least the upper cabin is cool. It is an econo-ferry. It's just a place to sit for an hour and ten mins. Bathrooms adequate but no soap & nothing to dry your hands.

As others have said, it definitely is a tiring experience to get over toe Culebra, but well worth it. We arrived at 7am and waited in a short line. We got our ticket shortly after 7:30am but then had to wait in another line to board at 9am. Very few of the workers spoke English so it was challenging to... More

We tried to ride this but NO one could help me figure out how to get a ticket and in the end we never did it. It seems like you must get a ticket months before as it sells out very quick and to locals first!

We pre bought our tickets well in advance as previously recommended and got there several hours in advance like recommended. While the check in was a breeze, the line wait was ridiculous. We moved a total of 15 feet in over 3 and a half hours in line. I'm not sure what happened but we left because the kids were... More

We did a lot of research about snorkeling on Isla Culebra. You can fly, book a tour, or take the ferry. We decide on the cheap to use the ferry and use the funds for the snorkeling trip. Reservations are sold out past January for the ferry. People stand in long lines for over a couple of hours on the... More

We were staying at the Wyndham Rio Mar and decided to take the ferry over to Culebra. After reading all the reviews, we knew it was recommended to arrive at the terminal by 7:00 am for the 9:00 ferry. We waited in what seemed like a short line for about an hour and didn't move. By 8:10 we finally purchased... More

You will have to wait in line for at least 2 hours but everyone that we ran into was very nice. From the workers ensuring you are in the correct line to the ferry workers, everyone was helpful and positive.

If you are planning on going to one of the islands on the ferry, I would recommend staying over night. The line to get tickets for the ferry is so long, you have to go 2 to 3 hours before to get them. We had someone buy ours ahead of time (we paid a little more - but it was... More
