About
Only 20 minutes drive from Nadi International Airport, Port Denarau Marina is Fiji's premier marina facility. As the hub of the integrated Denarau Island Resort, Port Denarau Marina is the gateway to exploring our idyllic sun drenched tropical isles of Fiji's West Coast. Provisioning is easy - with a supermarket, pharmacy and bakery at the end of the dock and Nadi and Namaka only a short bus or taxi ride away. Port Denarau Marina is walking distance to several international hotels, offering a vast array of recreational pursuits including an international 18 hole golf course - not to mention, being part of the largest retail/restaurant complex in the Nadi area. Port Denarau is ideally positioned to provide a stopover for rest, recreation and provisioning during your cruising of the Fijian Islands. The fast developing marina complex is the centre of yachting activity in Fiji, located on Denarau Island, it is accessed through a well marked channel that is 5 metres deep at zero tide. The marina is well protected from all weather. The basin contains 52 fully serviced berths and 14 swing moorings including 14 berths capable of taking Superyachts up to 85 metres in length with 5 metres draft. Fuel, water, single and three phase power and wifi are all available at the dock. The complex contains a 50 tonne travel lift, a hard stand area and marine workshops. Port Denarau Marina is by far Fiji's newest haul out facility and provides the latest up to date equipment. See our Facilities & Services for more detailed information about what we provide.

- teejayy_xxSydney, Australia545 contributionsThe main hub of DenaruThis is where you will catch all of your ferries to the islands and also for your tours. There is a small shopping complex which has various food and beverage options which is great when leaving your resorts and looking for an alternative. There are also some smaller shops and boutiques where you can purchase clothes, souvenirs and snacks/drinks. If you’re looking at exchanging cash to FJD, this is where I would look at exchanging as the exchange rates are better than the airport ones. While we didn’t primarily stay at Denaru for our holiday in Fiji, had we stayed there, we would have gone down to the marina for some great food options rather than eating at a resort the whole time. There is a great variety of food options for all.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 March 2024

From Denarau Port tourists can board the Ferry's and private Yacht's for cruises to the Yasawa and Mamanuca group of Islands. There is a list of Islands posted on a board and approximate time to reach by boat from Denarau port. As for me was on a cruise to "Schooner Island" with "Whale's Tales" schooner from Denarau port. It was a one and half hour cruise by the beautiful schooler to Schooner Island. There is a supermarket shop within Denarau Port.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 23 April 2024

Situated in a stunning location, it offers easy access to various activities and attractions. The marina boasts a range of dining options and shops, catering to visitors' needs. However, occasional crowding and limited parking can be minor inconveniences. Overall, it's a bustling hub teeming with energy, perfect for soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Fiji's coastal charm.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 23 May 2024

My daughter had clam chowder, I had pumpkin salad bowl with grill chicken, grandchildren had fish & chips plus desserts, we all enjoyed our meals. A pretty and pleasant touristy port that provides a good place to moor your boat or to pick up a water based tour such as trips to the Mamanucaira island group or the Yasawa Group. In Nadi Bay the port is a lovely marina with shops , places to eat, bathrooms, auto tellers to get cash to spend elsewhere on your trips and booking offices for the tourist boats. Most of the shops here take visa or master cards as do the booking offices. Once you have shopped and eaten , embarked or disembarked there is nothing else to see there until evening when there are shows put on in the shopping arena.

Caught the Bula Bus from our resort direct to the marina. Ticket cost $10FJD for a day ticket which you can use multiple times on the day. Spent about two hours wandering the shops and looking at the sights. Bought a few souvenirs from Jacks to take home for family. Didn’t eat anything but plenty of food options to choose from. Loads of western style restaurants too. The marina is the main point where you depart on sea vessels to the islands. Tickets for day trips to any of the islands can be purchased here too. Definitely worth a look.

Port with shops, restaurants, air-conditioned kids play centre and where most day trips depart from. Overall it is simple and nice. On certain evenings there are some free traditional dancing shows etc. Was within a 10-15 min easy walk from Sofitel Resort

A very tourist-friendly place to stay for a week or so with a shopping circle and eateries, the Hard Rock Cafe, and many excellent inexpensive multicultural restaurants,
There are very lovely Hotels and a resort but also budget accommodation.
Then there is the Marina with the various cruises.
We stay a day at Port Denarau on a Princess Cruise and have been back twice since by Plane.

It was nice to get out of the resort and do a bit of local shopping.
Visited the pub, various local clothing and gift shops and a restaurant.
It was a relaxed atmosphere where we were able to take a leisurely stroll, shop without a time limit, enjoy a cocktail at the pub and lunch at a local restaurant.
We were enjoying holiday mode.

This is an upmarket gated area with expensive houses, a golf course and marina. You will need to pass through here to get transport to the islands. The marina complex has shops and a good variety of bars and restaurants. The car park is cheap if you are staying for up to a few hours but would get expensive beyond that. There is certainly a good vibe in the bars and restaurants.

Staying at one of the Denarau Island resorts, I took a morning stroll to the marina. It is clean, has several shops and plenty of dining options. Early in the morning there was a bread shop open where I was able to get water and a pastry. We returned via the Bula Bus one evening and dined at the Fijian restaurant on the waterfront (highly recommend!). Port Denarau seemed very nice over all.

Not a real lot to see although there are a number of eateries and of course there is a Jacks shop. If you are staying on Denaru best value is alcohol and food in local shops. For example a carton of beer in our resort was $99F in the shop at the port it was $50 still cheaper even with a bula bus fare of $8F

The Port is a good place to go if you need to kill some time and wanna nice view for lunch/dinner.
There are a couple of shops, a easy mart (food store) and a couple of restaurants. It’s pretty small do don’t expect to spend too much time there.
This is were a lot of day trip boats and tours take off from so can get busy from time to time.
Best way to get there is on Yellow Bus - only $1.00 Fiji dollar per pick up. You can also take the Bulla bus however that’s $8.00 Fiji dollar day.

Really the title says it all. This is a lovely place walk to from any of the hotels along the beach. About 20-30 minutes in the blistering sun (we didn’t plan our timing too well) but would probably be 15 in the early morning or evening.
There are several cafes and shops including a Yees Grocery which is a million times better than the JetPoint one we opted for on the way to the hotel from the airport! Wish we had never had the JetPoint experience. Also, the Yees is cheaper than the pharmacy/chemist that is there as well, so if you can find what you need at the Yees, get it there.
The Hard Rock has a great Happy Hour and Jacks Souvenir Shop seems to have much better quality and prices than any of the Jacks stores in the hotels themselves - we went to each one so can attest to that. It is also only $7 for a taxi to the marina from any of the hotels so if there are two or more of you, skip the Bula Bus and save a few dollars.

Hi guys I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out with the below question.
What are the travel options from Port Denarau to Mana Island at a reasonable price.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers
Written 11 May 2022
I did not travel to Mana Island so I would not know the cost.
I am sure the marina would have a very good rate as they
seemed very fair to me. Hope you enjoy your trip.
Written 12 May 2022
Hi, We will stay in the island, and how much parking charge will be for 2 nights?
Written 9 February 2022
I believe it is $3 per hour but expect you can probably get a lower day rate and would certainly attempt to bargain to get one. The slower business is, thenlikelier the rate would be lower per day!

Current exchange rate for Australian dollar to Fiji dollar in Fiji
Written 31 December 2019
Hi , Despite what other comments say , we got the best exchange rate at a ATM foreign exchange machine at Melbourne departure , Fiji was expensive ( at least on Denarau Island ) and for our nightly drinks we got the free bus to the Golf Club Heineken Bar which, beer is priced reasonable , wouldnt go back again but will gladly go to the Coral coast again .
Written 31 December 2019
1 Fijian dilate is about 66 cents Australian. Cheers

Hello,
> "take the local yellow bus for only 1,11 FJ$ in to Nadi Town."
The fee for the yellow bus is or was F$1.11 ?? Do I need to have exact change ? Or if I give them a bigger Fiji dollar note, will they give me changes ?

We are staying across the highway from the Nadi airport. Does the $1 yellow bus pick up from there? Also what hours does the bus run on Saturday and Sunday? Thank you.

HI, can anyone tell me what is the cheapest way to get from HIlton Doubletree fiji to the marina where all the tours go out of?
Written 28 April 2019
Some of these answers are confusing the Hilton Resort with the new Doubletree Hilton which is much further away and on an island. Taxi is by far your best bet. They are expensive and I doubt that you can get that far for $30. Make sure to negotiate the price with the driver!!! We go regularly and they will negotiate the price if they think they will lose the job. Good luck and joy

Hello, from the UK. Going to Denaru for a week in February. Any recommendations on cash exchange. Take it with us or change it in Fiji? I see there are Western unions there and wondered if they offer a better rate than our UK exchanges? Thank you. :-)
Written 14 January 2019
I have found that I get a better exchange rate when in Fiji. I usually take cash and do it there. I don’t do it at the airport either. The rate is better at other exchanges.
