Met relations here. Got a ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo then a bus to Balmoral. Get off at the bottom of the hill. Go to Boatshed opposite for coffee or lunch and enjoy the walk along the beach. If you get back on the bus you can then change and get a bus to Manly. The bus driver... More

Simply outstanding. Breath taking scenery. Sit back and relax and take in the sun, sand and ocean. Plenty of cafes to visit to make it a great day out

Sydney Harbour Beach but with clean water as its very close to the heads (open ocean). Lovely walk along esplanade, and there is a netted swimming are at one end of the beach. Only problem is finding parking in summer, and the traffic getting there and back along military rd.

Visited with family, 3 kids ranging from 9 thru to 18. Everyone had a great time. No over crowding, clean and sandy beach with excellent swimming depth water. If you need the protection of an enclosed area that's there as well. Plenty of local cafes on the sidewalk and over the road.
