Nice waterfall

Popular attraction for locals and tourists alike. Many people swim/bathe in the pools. Quite a way out of town, so would only go there if actually passing (which is what we did)

It is very close to Ella main town. You could get on to a Bus which will cost you only Rs.20/-. There are enough buses as this fall is facing Ella Wellawaya Main Road. But do not try to climb it is very dangerous. It is a real attraction to Ella visitors.

If no time can be skipped. We were group of five and enjoyed taking selfies. Religious people would like to have bath under waterfall, at their own risk. Wouldn't recommend a bath there.

A must see waterfall. We went in an evening where it was little misty giving a beautiful view. The road from ella town to rawana ella has great views.

Nice falls close to Ella, however it gets really crowded. You can have a dip in the pool, and go under the falls but you'll need to fight your way through the crowd. There's plenty of food stalls and tat shops nearby, and we found that the locals had left quite a few nappies under the rocks by the falls,... More

This place is beautiful. It's home to Sri Lanka's biggest legends so read up on the Ravana story so you can appreciate the Falls. It's in a cave behind the falls that he kept Sita, hence the Sita temple near the falls is where she used to pray. Take your slippers off before you attempt to climb into the falls... More

You can find the waterfall next to Ella-Wellawaya main road. No hikes, the waterfall is just by the main road. Get a bus from Ella in the Wellawaya direction and after about 6 kms you will find the waterfall. View of the waterfall is good. I bet the view might be terrifying in the rainy season. It is heavily advised... More

Just attached to the side of the main road on the hill. The falls are nice but not spectacular. Watch out for locals that can be pushy to sell you goods like rocks? Just be firm from the start. Know that most of the time, they're being nice for $$ (not offensively, they're good natured people, just hustle hard)
