"The stone mushrooms" is a strange geological reservation near the village Beli Plast in Southern Bulgaria. I suppose that they were formed through a corrasion process. We have noticed the similarity with the "Babele" rocks in the Bucegi Mountains (Romania).

As their name reveals, these are rock formations in the shape of mushrooms. Due to their close proximity to the ancient Thracian city of Perperikon, the Stone Mushrooms can be visited in the same day as Perperikon.
