We went from Stalis for a short visit to Potamos Beach. Though all the facilities like restaurants, sunbeds and clean toilets were available but on the whole it was looking little dull compare to Stalis and Malia beaches which were more lively in the daytime.
This is beach was the perfect place for our seven years old daughter, who is only now perfecting her swimming abilities, I but does not know how the “rough” see behaves.

It's a good 50 min walk from the main strip but it is worth it! It was recommended to us by the hotel staff and it's more where the locals go, which means it's not as crowded as Malia beach.

I don’t think the bus goes to the beach but the little train passed us one day but not sure if you can hop on/hop off. The beach was worth the trip-a lot quieter than Malia and the sandwiches at the little canteen cabin... More
