As previously mentioned the lovely pic of the quant harbour is not malia. The one in malia is just a plain concrete arm,a few fishing boats,and one restaurant. Don't bother.

The pic is of Chania harbour not of mMalia. Nothing to see at Malia not worth the detour. TripAdvisor please fix this error

Was there on different occasions: passing by, start of a trip to Dia Island and the visit of the restaurant. All occasions are recommended was there between 2000 and 2017

Malia harbour looks nice from top of the mountains but when we visited it , it was a deception as it is poor and not a toruristic attraction at all ; besides some local food reqstaurants nothing to offer

Malia town is very lively and a favourite with roowdy British teenagers. The harbour doesn;t have much tot it except a cheap looking restaurant, The town itself is very commercialised and busy, and the beaches packed. Its a nice town though with some decent restaurants
