Make sure you go up and beyond the church at Mount Lussari. The 1st 2 restaurants that are clear to see from the gondola are great, but the real charm of the village is further up and round. Its well worth going up there, stunning!

Italy's highest village and a beautiful place to visit. There is a great restaurant up there, a quaint little street and (if you can ski) an amazing run down. Also go into the church and look up - the ceiling is the hull of a boat!

Cable cars ascend to the top of Mt. Lussari letting you off to take in the breathtaking views. From this vantage point you can see where Italy, Austria and Slovenia come together in this panoramic scene. There is a lovely small church, simple in design with a warm, spiritual ambiance. There are a couple of restaurants where you can enjoy... More

The views on top are truly breathtaking. We took the cable car up and down but there are options for hikers as well. Haven't been here in the winter but from pictures it looks like a snowy wonderland. Enjoyed a traditional meal with beer while hearing some folk singing by random travellers. Definitely visit if in the area.

My husband and I live just over the border and often pass Tarvisio. Locals often mention Lussari a local spiritual attraction. My husband suffers from hights so he was unable to take the cable card and walked the 24 km up and down from Tarvisio (3 hours) and down to the Val Bruna (2hours). It was a long walk but... More

Went in snow season and enjoyed walking in heavy snow. A paradise for Ski lovers, hold a beautiful church and a small market at top.

We took the cable car in both directions, which was already an attraction for most of us. Arriving at the top of Mount Lussari we enjoyed the fresh air and the breathtaking views. The church with its wall paintings and pilgrimage history is lovely. Unfortunately there were also a lot of souvenir shops, most of these selling items that simply... More
