We ran into this church (Chiesa di San Pietro) while walking around the lower town. Another impressive Baroque church; well worth visiting inside and outside.

Situated on the main street through the lower town, this is a very impressive sight at the top of a flight of stairs flanked by railings topped with statues of the apostles. Built after the 1693 earthquake on the site of a former church, it is ornate and beautiful inside. They were setting up for a wedding when we visited. Check with your hotel for up-to-date visiting times as they seem to vary from website to guidebook and local maps.…
