We toured several wineries in Tuscany and this was one of the larger ones. The place is stunning. It's worth it just to be able to visit the beautiful locale. The tour was entirely enjoyable! A 300 meter long wine tunnel hand-dug by three 79 year old men. Just imagine! Finished up by tasting several very fine wines. What could... More

During our weeding anniversary trip we wanted to visit some interesting wineyard and was suggested this one by one of the local agency. Simply - can't imagine better suggestion. The place is... breathtaking. Excellent to the very last detail. Starting from premises, surrounding grounds till... wine itself. You must book you visit (in our case well in advance) and might... This was fantastic. We had an amazing tour around the wineyard. To hear Laura telling the history of the family, the castle and the winemaking was WOW. We went trough the winecellar with all the fantastic wine, the oldest ones was from 1964. Thrugh the winecellar we came to the winetasting . We tasted trough the whole ranges of fantastic... More

This was a visit that we had planned some time before arriving in Tuscany and it did not disappoint. The grounds of the house are spectacular, and the winery itself is something to behold! The fact that the whole thing was constructed by 3 gentleman in their 70's is truly remarkable. We tasted some of the wonderful Chianti Classico wines... More

We did this as part of a tour group. Valentina met us on arrival to take us on a tour of the cellars before doing a tasting. She was knowledgable and able to answer the many and varied questions from our group. The cellars are fantastic, especially considering they were dug by hand! It was really cool to see all... More

We had a terrific tour and tasting at the beautiful winery with Valentina (we had an appointment), getting a good overview of the Chianti region and winemaking history, and seeing firsthand how they maintain the tradition of the brand, with preserving stock of each vintage for later years. The tasting was wonderful, with a surprise offering of an older vintage... More

You'll do well to seek out the Castello Monsanto winery of the Bianchi family and visit. Check your maps & GPS as entering is discrete - once driving inside the vast property you are amazed at the beauty of the Castle, vineyards, deep tunnel caves, aging areas and tasting room. Tasted top rated Chianti, Super Tuscan and surprisingly a wonderful... More

I visited Castello Monsanto with a group of friends. The wine cellars of the castle were different from any cellars I have seen before. The garden of the castle is charming. A special touch to the place gives the fact that it is not a museum but has the Bianchi family living in the castle. Our guide Valentina was knowledgeable... More

A must see if in Tuscany. The cellar is very impressive. They have paid attention to ever detail while building this cellar. The tour was very detailed on the wine making process from beginning to end and of coarse the wine tasting at the end of the tour is the pièce de résistance.
