My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this winery. The gardens and ancient cellars and the tasting were wonderful. Our tour guide Fabrina was excellent. The restaurant was fantastic: food and on the terrace in the gardens.

Not only is it gorgeous, there's a spirit to this place - of peace and tranquility. There's even a little unattended shop beside the church, selling local handmade wares. Also see my review for the restaurant next door - a do-not-miss.

We experienced the wine tasting for Badia Coltibuono at their quaint little wine shop. It is located at the bottom of the hill from the castle. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and a life long wine enthusiast and expert. The views of the castle and surrounding region are stunning.

Very beautiful place with an old church next door, amazing view over Tuscany and just a lovely scenarie. Service was really good, the food was great, the mood seemed a bit dull, no candlelights or music but in general a great place where we would come again to eat.

Must stay at least 1 night here! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed a wonderful dinner in their restaurant. The room is beautiful and clean. Having breakfast in such a historical place was also an amazing experience. The location is fine if you want to drive around Chianti.

This is my first time staying in a monastery now winery-hotel. We arrived in March so it was very quiet and the room was very large. The king bed was two singles put together (very common in Italy) fortunately my side was more comfortable than my husband. There is a nice restaurant nearby, however we did bring home dinner the... This place was highly recommended to us and we were rather disappointed. Eight of us came for lunch which was served on the terrace...a lovely spot. The service was not good and the food was average. And expensive. Perhaps try it for lunch just for the position but don't expect too much. The "tour" of the monastery did not appear... More

It was a cold, clear day in early January, so very little was open. But the view was stupendous! We hope to return next time when we can visit the winery.

Having traveled with many groups of friends around Tuscany over the years, we always try to book an evening or afternoon cooking class at the Badia owned by the Stucchi and Di Medici family. The day inevitably starts with a tour of the gardens and facilities, followed by a few hours learning memorable recipes and then a wonderful meal with... More

Great winery, very good wines, a very good guided tour around the Badia monastery. The tour starts every half-hour (13.30, 14.30....) . The last visit is at 17.30. The tour and tasting of 3 wines costs 10 euro. Interesting to see the wine cellar.
