If you are in Belmonte you can profit for getting to know how olive oil was produced in Portugal along the 20th century. Also quite agreeable is a the end of the visit the olive oil with several kinds of bred and olive oil. Enjoy!

Our bus tour stopped at Lagar de Belmonte to taste Portuguese Olive oil. After a brief talk, we wandered the museum in the lower level and tasted the olive oil in the shop above. The best thing about this little tour was the olive oil! We brought home 2 cans of Azeite and it…

This was part of a tour stop in Belmonte covering 3 properties; it is rather small and lacks exciting or interactive olive oil information. There are a few machines and pictures, but doesn't razzle dazzle you on all things olive oil.
