We took the boat from Portsmouth dockyard and already everyone was so friendly. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about the Alliance and could answer all our questions. Very well presented the whole mueseum.

Incredibly interesting and fascinating. Brilliant being able to actually go inside the submarine and get a feel of how tough life is on the sea. My boys loved it!!

Very interesting day out. This was my third visit. Best avoiding school holidays if you want a more indepth tour as it can get quit busy.

We visited with our two young children which I would say think twice as the oldest (2 years old) was into everything and touching everything as there's so much in the obvious confined space. I will say that my other half went to the toilet with our son before the tour was still in there when the tour started and... More

We had planned to visit the Submarine museum for some time and finally made the trip. Specifically, we wanted to visit HMS Alliance as it reflects the “A” Class submarines that my father-in law served on in the 50s. (Amphion and Artemis). Although the additional fairing to the tower and fold down beds had been upgraded, you could easily see... More

Had a reasonable day. Went round HMS Alliance, tour started off ok with a good tour guide, we were then left to go through the sub on our own so really didn't find out much. Expensive for what it was as essentially we looked at a load of stuff we didn't know! Check there is a guide before you pay!

A really good museum to visit if your love submarines or never thought about them, the staff are friendly, and the speakers on the boat are all ex submariners, with lots of fond memories and not so fond to pass on to the tours. Visit is made all the better with the attraction ticket that lets you get the boat... More
