Viñales is worth 3-4 nights as there is so much to do in the surrounding area. The town itself is majorly touristy but the surrounding area is what makes it worthwhile. Rent bicycles, walk the local trails, go visit a tobacco farm and at the...More

This is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. I went with a tour guide, Cuba Classic Tours. We saw a tobacco field and received a free cigar with a lecture on tobacco. We went shopping in the town of Vinales: beautifully...More

We did a nice hike of tobacco plantations, caves and lakes by horse.  Many tour operators provide this trek, however your casa will also organise it for lower cost.  This is a nice 4-5 hour trek where you can see how the farmer dries the...More

I gave it 3 stars but I give 1 star for his rudeness...We went in April my husband was filming at the tobacco farm we met the owners son. We asked if we could film him and describe how things work at the farm. At...More

Let’s start with the positives. The horses were wonderful, tended, extremely clean, friendly and well behaved. They knew the path by heart, even if we would not indicate the direction, they always knew where to go. :) Also you can take this trip even if...More

Fantastic karst scenery clad in tropical vegetation. Absolutely gorgeous and a must see. I don't think I would ever get tired of this place. We did a horse ride through the valley and also a day of cycling. Prefered the cycling (notwithstanding the heat) as...More

I travelled with my husband and 2 adult kids (24 & 20) and we all loved it! We got to the airport in Havana and had a car drive us (approx. 2.5 hrs) in a classic convertible. That was a mistake. It was hot and...More

I will be cruising to Cuba at the end of May and plan to visit vinales while the ship is docked in Havana. I must be back at the ship by 7 p.m. We have a driver who will take us by car. Do you recommend going to vinales for a tobacco tour in such a tight timeframe? Is the ride from Havana to vinales 2 or 3 hours? I have read varied accounts. Please mention any and all variables that I may not be aware of that will prevent us from getting back to the ship on time. Thanks
