Great afternoon

Haven't visited in a long time, but did not disappoint. Took friends from Alberta and we did the full tour. Lovely afternoon.

we went in the off season. the workers there told us they have up to 3,000 visitors in the summer time. One thing to know if you go on the island it will cost you $46.00 to get off the toll bridge. we were not aware but took the ferry back to nova scotia which was around $80.00 but saved... More

We drove around this island for a few hours in October. The entire town was shut down except one random lunch spot. I do not recommend doing this tour of the island on your own. The museum itself was ok. We spent less than 30 minutes.

We enjoyed this but not as much as Heritage Park. There was good information but the Carriage Rides were very expensive for the time you were given and the gift store was average. The history was good and the view of the Lake of Shining Waters was beautiful.

Nice place to visit friendly staff and price is cheap to visit and tour. Gift shop is big and the grounds are lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum. Wonderful, very informative. Loved seeing the places L. M. Montgomery actually lived and wrote her stories.

This place as well as the store where the author's relatives lived are fun locations to view where Maud (the author) grew up and got her inspirations for the stories.

We had not read the book and, therefore, didn't have a great deal of interest. The woods were beautiful to walk through. They are next to a golf course that looked interesting. The gift shop had the usual fare, most of which was made in China or elsewhere. I guess you really had to love her books to get excited... More

This can be considered a tourist trap, but if you have any interest in the works of Lucy Maud Montgomery or have heard of Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables), then there's good reason to check out the museum, property, & surrounding area of PEI.

I very much enjoyed visiting this house and the grounds, as I loved the books as a child and have seen my grandchildren so adoring the stories! I'll have to say, my husband thought the trip was a waste of valuable travel time. But, he had never heard of the books. The author DID live here and based her story... More
