A beautiful shopping experience offers some traditional Mexican handicrafts but also some of the more unique and artistic items. Some boutiques take credit cards but most are cash only. Arrive at the beginning of the market and walk down as driving in this area is...More

I have been coming here for years! So, tip number one: bring cash, tip number two: show up after 11am. Having said this, you can find quite a variety of crafts and hand-made products. The best avocado you will find in town and lovely and...More

There are ruins you ca hike to...but it takes about an hour uphill and another hour down hill.. So plan accordingly. The church in town is quite quaint. I arrived Holy Thursday and the different alter decorations were impressive with hand cut paper and fruits....More

There's a wide variety of products, all sorts of prices and quality, however, do not expect to find much if you arrive early in the day

Shop, gaze bntween 12noon and 2:00pm. Very crowded after 2:00pm. Not to saythat it can't be before 2:00pm. Girls check for the manta dresses, Yucatan Linen/Coton, guys the guyaberas. Lots of handcrafts, excellent restaurants.

This town is easily accessible by bus -- I came from Cuernavaca and it cost something like $17 pesos, or less than $1USD. The outdoor market gets going at around 10:30 or 11. It is very crowded on the weekend. There are many shops and...More

Come on a Sunday after 11am for one of the largest markets around Mexico City. Street after street is covered with tianguis. The selection of souvenirs is vast and inexpensive. There are many great restaurants around the Zocalo and plenty of clean WC if you...More

Everything about the market was fantastic-and I abhor shopping. Great ice cream (nieves) to be found, alleys wide enough to walk through, clean, and with products that I did not see anywhere else. Only thing is that you might want to make sure the vendors...More

No. The local fruit, food, veggie market which occupies part of the space is open daily, as are some small eateries. Some of the street frontage permanent stores will be open and can have many fine goods but the open air... More
