Either love it or hate it... It's a real Mexican market. Each booth is owned by different people and they sell differant things. One will sell vegetables, the next fruit, the next paper goods, then shoes, but socks are 2 booths down. I could figure...More

Nothing special about the market, there are much better ones in every bigger town on Yucatan. But, the place to go if you need some fruit, cheap meal or even a souvenir. It is just a few steps from the convent and bus station

We often shop at this colorful mercado, especially for local exotic fruits, and have become friends with several of the local, friendly vendors who always greet us by name and usually a hug. It's a happy place to shop!
