I don't think a trip to Montague would be complete with this tractor ride. It is actually much more than a tractor ride and if Pierre is your driver, expect the unexpected :-) The natural beauty and the views from the mountain top is something that one will remember for a long, long time. One has the option of including... More

This is a definite 'must do' if in the Montague area. I suggest you arrive early, and to sit on the seats on the tractor itself, for the most fantastic experience ever. We stopped on-route for fresh fruit, ie pears, apples and plums, which are grown in the area, and we were given a short informative talk about the fruit... More

Simply a 'must do' activity, when in the Cape! Views were to die for! Food was proudly South African! Money well spent! People were friendly and polite. Our tractor driver was funny and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended.

I have done this trip a few times over the years, and decided to go with hubby and my daughter again this month. It has become very commercial, there was a big group of tourist on board, and they actually made it unpleasant for us. Wanting to jump off and on the tractor all the time. It personal touch that... beautiful area with excellent food. The ride was interesting and took quite long. We were reasonably comfortable but would not recommend for older people. We were unfortunate with a howling wind and quite cold. Would be much better on a clear evening with stars. Think owner and wife very friendly but could do with some or other history talk on... This is the most authentic South African experience you'll get. The ride is not too bumpy as certain sections of the path are paved. And at 1500m above sea level we had the most spectacular views of the Koo Valley as well as the town of Robertson!

This experience was such a surprise. I knew nothing of this trip until a friend said I must make sure I do the tractor ride when I'm in Montague the weekend... And so I did. The view is breathtakingly beautiful. This is a must do trip when you visit Robertson or Montague. Book in advance! There are a few surprises... More

Great ride to the top of the mountains with stops for fresh apricots half way up then cold spring water near the top with wine and dried fruit to welcome you at the top. The tractor ride was brilliant with fantastic views of Robertson and beyond. our day was at 43 degrees and blue blue sky. After the ride down... More
