lake: walked along the lake to really enjoy some quietness that most people living in big cities lack. we spent 2 hours just walking along the lakeside. due to the cold weather n hours that we went no boats were available to go out to see the different islands however just spending time looking at the view is already worth... We run away from smog cities. There are fresh air and beautiful lake view. You can eat delicious fresh fish foods and also very suitable for family travel.

It might be much more interesting place to go in summer for the water sports, no one would like to get wet in such weather. The green ring belt is a good place for cycling if you would like to do some sports at late autumn. The wide lake surface really helps to calm my nerve.

the scenery of the thousand island lake is stunning, even though the weather was cloudy. to see all a boat trip is recommended. however make sure to bring plenty of money because you have to pay for everything, crossing bridges, seeing sights etc.

Taking a cruise around the clear blue Thousand Island Lake, taking in the fresh air and clean scenery is only one highlight of a trip to the region. In addition to a cruise, visitors must go to the replica Lion Village - which is a complete replica of the ancient Han Dynasty village that is preserved underneath the lake. The... More

Qiandao Hu is a wonderful place, and as the name goes, a thousand islands in one lake. It is a very attractive place and has plenty of worthy views. For those that do not speak Mandarin, bring a friend who can or a local guide that does.

Lovely scenery but don't expect anything relaxing. It's full of large tour groups of obnoxious, loud, non-stop smoking, unhygienic spitting tourists and the people working there are just as bad. There are a large amount of huge ugly boats transporting 1000s of tourists to relatively small overcrowded islands where people just push and shove to get past while you try... More

If you need to get away from Shanghai or Hangzhou this is the place to enjoy nice scenery and local fish head soup. Get yourself in to a nice hotel and grab a bus on ctrip. 4hour well worth it

The thousand Island lake looks very beautiful on the picture. We took a cruise trip around the few islands. Just the lake, many hills and blue sky, nothing special,
