The beach is nick named Monkey Beach due to the the numerous monkeys that can often be seen along the boardwalk walking trail through the jungle to the beach. Beach sand is nice but not quite as nice as other Papagayo Peninsula beaches due to the numerous small shells in the sand.... More

Where do I start about this peaceful beach ... First, I had just lost my boyfriend 5 weeks prior to visiting this beach. My boyfriend was Costa Rican and he wanted his ashes scattered all over C.R. It's a wonderful place to get away from crowds, peaceful place to gather your thoughts and pump the brakes a bit as life... More

It is a public beach and nearby are an all-inclusive empower clients to that beach hotel, so it's a bit annoying so many people in a relatively small beach

Beach was nearly empty both days we went there. No facilities and hard sand (need shoes). Water was warm with gentle waves. Invisible from the accommodation and golf course and likewise, you'd never know that CR's top golf course was nearby.

Very local beach, almost lake like, absolutely no waves, abundant fish, you don't need any snorkle gear just look straight down and see fish.
