I caught my first waves on Playa Hermosa this year, and it was picturesque, warm, and very welcoming for a first time surfer. I absolutely loved it there. We were told to watch our valuables, which we did, and we had no issues whatsoever.

There was plenty of space to have a picnic or play in the sand, especially because there were hardly any visitors. Seemed like a place for locals or surfers. We loved laying under a tree having a beer and getting in the water

Great beach and a perfect spot to surf everyday! Waves come in a regular set, everyday, whatever the tide is... you will be able to surf with gentle waves with regular patterns. Thus, do not hesitate, you will have fun!

Just one of the beautiful beaches in the nicoya peninsula. Playa Santa Teresa and Many more in this area are famous for there year-round waves and beautiful tropical environment. Come and see it for your self. PURA VIDA.

The beach and the sunset was amazing. The Sunset on the ocean was amazing. The people and the culture around Playa Hermosa makes you want to move there!

This is a great beach for that when the tide is low. It seems you can walk the lava fingers forever into the ocean. Make sure you have shoes, these rocks are sharp and will cut you. However it is worth it. It is not uncommon to have the beach entirely to yourself for as far as you can see... More

Very long strechted beach, around the rocks there are nice warm pools, ideal for kids to play in and have fun.

Amazing beach with great waves for all surfers from beginners and experienced ones. Plus for the cute dogs everywhere and that you are almost alone on the beach sometimes!

Great location to get away from the noise, go for long walks, practice yoga and surf, yet a short drive from Santa Teresa and Playa El Carmen for when you wish to go out for dinner or do some shopping. Yet 2 new small restaurants just opened around the corner from Hermosa Valley school Cafe Coleur (I rated separately) and... More

Beautiful beach where the only conflict is to decide whether to sit-swim or walk for miles in serenity--oh yeah--we did it all! A great place to get away from the "bustle" of Mal Pais and St Theresa.
