Playa Hermosa is perhaps the best beach in the area. The waves are perfect and the currents aren't too strong. Very good for families.

We took an atv to visit the beaches here. The beaches were secluded and beautiful. We drove as far as we could to the beaches Manzanillo. It was so much fun! We felt we had a beach to ourselves!

Visited in off season for surfing. Very chilled area. Waves ok. A few restaurants and local supermarkets. Having a car is the only way to go really. If you want it busier try Tamarindo.
