Important work to save the critically endangered Golden Frog and other frogs is being done here. We visited the zoo specifically to see the Golden Frog and learn more about them. Frogs are displayed in a small building but there is little information presented on...More

My heart broke to see the animals in cages that were too small for them. I don't imagine that anywhere in North America or Europe this kind of zoo would be allowed to function. The animals didn't seem to be in particular distress but to...More

This privately owned and maintained zoo has a surprising variety and number of species, most from the Americas and a few from Asia. A local guy in the parking lot walked in with us and gave us a guided tour in English without asking for...More

I was skeptical of visiting the zoo and after this visit I know why. It is set in beautiful area but animals are all caged, most look skinny and not well taken care of. I am not sure why government does not inspect and institute...More

Wanted to see the golden frog, nice amphitheater with all kinds of frogs. For the rest lots of birds and some other animals in basic environments.

This "zoo" is set in the middle of a beautiful tropical rain forest!! It's a must see just for the setting. However I do share some concerns for the animals as i'm not sure they are receiving the best care. If you don't go to...More

This is a small zoo with not so many animals but it is beautifully landscaped and the frog display is quite impressive.

This place should be shut down. No water. Animals are not well. Cages so small the animals can hardly move around. Facilities are disgraceful. Not much love around this place. Do not waste your money nor give them your money to keep them going. Why...More
