El Valle is a small town and this market is small. However, there are a few vendors who have excellent offerings. One in particular has quality molas. I also found some interesting pieces of jewelry hand made from tagua and twine. It's always interesting to...More

We were told this is a bustling town with a very large Sunday market. We decided to make a day of it and go to the rainforest and see the hot spring and waterfall. We were able to complete the market in an hour and...More

The market was enjoyable with many local artists and vendors. The market offered a wide range of locally made or grown products. WE had a nice lunch at a local restaurant. The prices are quite fair, if not cheap. All of the Panamanians we met...More

There is no difference if you come here on a Sunday or any other day. Maybe some more people selling plants but the vegetable and trinket sellers are here every day. Not really a main attraction. Next to the tourist office.

Although we did not go on a Sunday, more venders and artisans contribute to the local market! Their work is absolutely beautiful, and I purchased two handmade Molas! I definitely recommend going to this market during the weekend.

I had some time to kill on Sunday afternoon so I walked here from Casco Viejo (a short walk - 10-15 minutes). The setup was interesting, but I really didn't see a variety of food stalls. Worth a look. It was recommended to me by...More

A town in the middle of a dormant volcano about a half hour from the city of Coronado. Beautiful lush trees and plants coming into the area. The market has many handmade items that would make excellent gifts for anyone. A large fruit/vegetable area (if...More

it is a busy place, be prepared to jump at the first parking spot you see. It was the best place to find gifts for everyone in my list - all items sold made by locals, no Made in China labels. The prices are not...More
