Great spot
Sep 2019 • Couples
Mid September visit.
We parked outside a cafe with the U Gaglioli sign. It said private parking for clients only but I think cos it wasn't very busy we were able to park there.

We went left from the path of the cafe first as it was quiet. We had the whole place to ourselves for half an hour which was great. We found some parts where we could jump off as the water was deep enough.

After that we had lunch to the right side of the cafe by the rocks almost by the ledge where people jump off into the pool. It was very quiet.

The water wasn't too cold. It was cold for a bit but your body gets used to it.

I can imagine it gets very busy in August. I definitely would recommend going in September.

Beautiful location with amazing freshwater swimming
Aug 2019
We weren't really sure where to stop but in the end we moved on past the campsite and stopped at the parking next to the cafe a couple of kilometres on. Quite a popular spot but plenty of space to settle in the trees or on the rocks. There's a deep pool with a jumping in spot and the water is amazing. The scenery is stunning and there are plenty of opportunities to explore further. I don't think we found the "best" place and I would have liked to have had more time to explore further. Remember to bring rock shoes. Hightly recommended.

Awesome place
Aug 2019 • Family
We really enjoyed our trip here. It was worth the 2 hour drive from Bonafacio. We passed the busier parking spot opposite the camping and parked further along the road opposite the tree climbing activity centre. We arrived at 11am in August and there was parking available, although the car park was full when we left at 3.30pm.

Plenty of shade and space beside the river and pools, it did not feel too busy. Nothing like the beaches!! Take water and a picnic. Super fun.

Wonderful place to swim and relax
Jul 2019 • Family
We chose the “busy” place just next to the Camping and Restaurant U Rosumarinu, 8 km up D268 from Solenzara.
There seem to be various other places along the road, e.g. at Auberge Restaurant L’Alba 1 km closer to Solenzara.
However, this review is about the place U Rosumarinu.
The river pool and cliffs are just behind the parking space. You can also park across the road.
Wonderful clean water, spots of sand between the rocks so you can lie on your towel.
Opportunity to jump from the cliff:-)
Restaurant is OK for a tourist spot - pizzas actually good!
Note - as mentioned in several other reviews, the location marked on TripAdvisor is wrong (still, July 20, 2019). It is NOT on D68, but on D268.

Nice place to cool yourself down
Sep 2018 • Couples
We did not read any other reviews beforehand so we followed tripadvisor map which was a mistake. If you are coming from T10 just follow D268. We park by the restaurant even though it said that parking is reserved for customers only. But you don't need to park there there is plenty of parking just further up. We had a nice swim, it was fairly busy so we just walked a bit more down the stream to find secluded place.

Great fun!
Aug 2018 • Family
What a great place. Visited in mid-Aug, so high season, and it gets a little busy but still far from crowded, just find somewhere you like.

Nice for a picnic. Easy swimming in the river and pools, and also rock-jumping for the daredevils.

Tip: the location shown (at the time) on trip advisor is/was wrong. It shows you go to a town called Togna. Ignore that. Take the D268 out of Solenzara, following the brown signs. Park up in any of the roadside spots.

Worth visiting twice!
Jul 2018 • Family
We came here with two families of 8 people including 4 children ages 12, 9, 7 and 5 years. We are not beach lovers but appreciate being near water, like rivers in the mountains. This was a perfect location to enjoy sun, water and to jump into natural pools from cliffs. There are kilometres of river to select so you can decide where to spent your day. There is plenty of shade from rocks and trees. There are lots of people too but since the area is so large it doesn’t feel extremely busy.

Things to consider:
- you can easily spend a whole day here, exploring up and down the river. So bring good river/water shoes and good sun protection
- come early when it’s less busy! Before 10 is ideal but it starts to attract a crowd once past noon.
- there are places where some minimal refreshments are provided ie coffee, wine, fries and ice cream but it is way over priced . You are better off bringing your own food
- please be respectful of the natural surroundings and keep the environment clean so others can enjoy the beauty without having to see cigarette buts, tissues and plastic wrappings. “Leave no trace”.

Enjoy!

Relax and fresh water
Jun 2017
Only 30/40 minutes from Solenzara centre, you can reach the peace and quiet of the river, only few people around. Choose the best spot, leave the car or bike and plunge in the fresh water. Then lie down on the rocks for a sunbath.

great fun for the family

spent time at several of the gorges, great fun for the family for a couple of hours, go early (before 10:30 to get a good parking spot) and take a picnic as food can be expensive at the cafes, highly recommended

Natural river pools for superb summer dips
Jun 2017 • Couples
These pools at various intervals along the river are just gorgeous. We stayed nearby during a very hot dry spell in June so the water was warm and balmy but crystal clear so you can see the river bed even when out of your depth. Lots of hot rocks to sit/lie on too and natural shallow 'seats' to settle into at the base of the cliffs. there is a little cafe/bistro by most of them too.
