Don't waste your time visiting this whole coastline. The beaches are dirty, the sand course and the environment third world. Same for the neighbouring Santa Marina beach. What a waste of time. It's not hard to find better beaches than those Chania has

Not the best beach in the area, grey sand quite shingley in places. Lots of sun beds especially for the many hotels & apartments which line the beach also plenty of bars & restaurants with great views of the Island in the bay.

Nice beach, hotel close to sea, maybe a bit of trash every here and there, but it is definitely worth to visit. Clean water

Very good, clean beach which stretches a long, long way but be careful during windy weather as the sea can be a bit treacherous.

Not crowded, nice water. Clean and calm. Many available chairs and close to many restaurants and bars.

Great atmosphere and beach clubs but if you're looking for pure sandy beaches go to agia marina or kato stalos!

We enjoyed the beach, the beach bar and lounge chairs. You can order food and drinks and make it a day of relaxation!

Yes, there are at least two water sports centers nearby, one to the direction of the east and another to the direction of west. I think that April is a great time to go to Crete!
