Fiordo di Furore is a fantastic place to swim and enjoy the scenery. The stairs are easy and the beach is small, but very pittoresk. This was one of my highlights on the Amalfi coast. Parking is not easy, but it is worth going for it. Also enjoy the view from above.

Ok to drop by if you drive between Furore and Positano. I would. Not take a D tour for it. If you saw some real fjords in north europe - you have seen it :).

The 'fjord' is not the best beach, but actually it's a bit different - offers some shade and the swimming is interesting, goes really deep.
Why the crazy bats? The Sentiero dei pipistrelle impazziti goes from via 1 Maggio on the Amalfi side of the gorge and drops down the cliff to the bottom. It's marked as 'closed for repairs' which is a lie, no-one's worked on it for years, we decided to try it anyway having reached the top of it. Realised we might have to retrace our steps if we'd met a rockfall, but made it. Had to negotiate several fallen trees so don't do it unless you're physically agile, be ready to retreat if necessary. It's a shame as the path is spectacular and interesting. Come on tourist office, get it fixed!
... Locanda del fiordo offered a great meal, reasonable prices, friendly service, 200m on coast road towards Positano.

We were visiting the Amalfi Coast and we heard about this little picturesque beach so we stopped by in the morning to see it. It’s quite problematic to park around. There is nowhere to leave the car. Luckily the previous night we had dinner at the nearby restaurant so we kindly asked them to park our car at their parking for half an hour. We walked along the road to the stairs with a sign and walked them up. The beach was closed due to a previous accident and was absolutely empty. It was very beautiful and calm. Worth climbing up on a very hot and humid day. We saw boats coming in from the sea side and people taking a swim in that perfectly blue water. Wish I could do the same. Meanwhile, it was very nice taking a photo with the bridge. I really recommend seeing this paradise spot in person.

We have read a lot of reviews on this place here and decided that this place is a must visit. Although it wasn’t like this. The steps are closed and there’s no way to get there from the bridge. If you only want to make some photos, then yes, why not to go there , make some photos and then photoshop them :) Maybe we were unlucky because it wasn’t sunny at all and thus this place did not impresse us much. One more important thing, parking is very difficult. Do not park your car right at the bridge, because it prevents buses from passing by. Try to park the car at least 100 meters away.

The Amalfi coast is stunning , Fiordo di Furore was not exceptional, difficult to access a lot of step steps from Furore and view from a busy road

Be aware, access to pedestrian is closed due to a serious accident which happened earlier in July 2019. Only access to the beach is for people on boats.

Very cozy little fjord in the Mediterranean Sea.
This little beach is actually closed for visitors due to the possibility of falling rocks, and the remaining buildings are abandoned.

But still people go down there to relax and swim and enjoy this beautiful place.

You need to climb your way down at some point on the long steps down, but this is just a small obstacle for a lovely afternoon of relaxing

Beach is unapproachable with no parking place anywhere nearby. Also it was closed during our visit because of construction works.
