Great way to spend an hour or so watching the wildlife and taking in the calm of the mere, Free parking which is always a bonus. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful place to while away some time, either boating, walking or just sitting at the cafe having a cupper or some food. Free parking too.

I reviewed the Mere back in 2013, loved Hornsea so much have now moved here. If you like slot machines and candy floss then you probably won't appreciate simply sitting on a bench looking out across the Mere with just the sounds of the birds...More

take a picnic or go to the cafe. Golf is ace & you can go on a boat on the lake. loads of parking. well worth a visit.

This is such a beautiful place to go for a visit by foot or car, we almost always walk and if the weather is good sit and enjoy the peace and quiet watching the many types of wildlife on the Mere great for photography too...More
