Louisa Bay is just round the corner from Viking Bay. It is very small and can be accessed via lots of steps or a quite steeply sloping road, or from Viking Bay at low tide. It has its own little café and has lots of...More

Lovely little part of Broadstairs. As you walk down the main street and onto the main beach, walk around (or through the garden if walking above) and you come to a quieter patch of sand. Still clean, nice sand, just without all the familes. Dogs...More

This is a really lovely quiet little beach, which is great if you either just want some peace away from the main town, or you're here with children and don't want to be anywhere too busy. We went to Louisa Bay cafe and although we...More

Admittedly, this is the closest bay to our house in Broadstairs and that must be partly why we mostly go there to swim, sunbathe, eat the most generous bacon baguette on the coast lovingly cooked by Paul and his team (best to order before 3.30pm...More

A very small family-friendly beach that can disappear at high spring tides. A small cafe on the esplanade offers early morning tea and bacon rolls for munching on the esplanade while watching the sun rise over the channel.

This beach is the nearest to where I live in broadstairs so visit it a lot. Great cafe but no toilet that I can recall. For those that moan about dogs this may be better than dumpton gap as not allowed on beach after 10am...More

This bay is a lovely, fun experience. With soft, silky sand and natural looking walls for kids to draw on with chalk from the cliffs. The Louisa Bay Cafe has really nice food and tops of the experience. In the summer, bring a wet suit and...More

This is a much small bay than Viking with not so much going on. There is a café which was closed when we visited but not a great deal else to see. It may be nicer when the larger beach next door becomes too busy?
