We were lucky enough to be here on a spectacular sunny day. Spent several hours exploring the lighthouse and surrounding cliffs. Absolutely stunning scenery.

Absolutely stunning this place. Was fairly busy when we arrived about one hour before sunset on a clear night. Take care on the road as it is narrow. Wellies or decent walking shoes advisable if you are going to walk on the cliff top grass...More

worth the trip as nice walk down with lovely views but parking limited and very chaotic . There are no toilets although there was a cafe at the top which may have some if it was open ? which it wasn't in the middle of...More

Well the parking is stunningly bad. Quite why the authorities haven't invested $100k in paving is beyond me. If you park before the cattle grid it's a short walk up the hill to the main path. Maybe 250m. The walk to the lighthouse is brilliant....More

After arriving at our B&B (Clach Ghlas, reviewed separately), around 8:15PM we decided that since the weather was good (sunny on Isle of Skye, we’ll take it!) it would be good to check out this nearby lighthouse that night in case the weather worsened overnight....More

Beautiful scenery with amazing dramatic views of the sea on the way to the Nest. Weather was wild the day we went but it was still wonderful to see the immense waves crashing against the rocks. All that was needed was the sound of some...More

Wonderful views out towards the Outer Hebrides, great steep cliffs, seabirds en masse, a lovely lighthouse, great walks, what more do you need? Better to go when the weather is somewhat nice and stable, though.

Went really early this morning and the sun shone ! It is a spectacular location & well worth the drive to get there.

It can be a little trouble to find a good parking spot, but then your reward is a nice walk along the hills to the light house. The way is paved but there are parts that are rather steep and steps have been made to...More

Hi! It is safe. They have stairs with railings. So it prolly looks more intimidating than it actually is. Hiking from the parking lot all the way to the lighthouse, spending some time there for pictures and such, and then... More

No entry ticket required. Park up in the (small and rudimentary) car parking area about 200 yards beyond the new cattle grid on the final left bend of the track. The walk down to the lighthouse is about 400 yards along a... More
