We visited this park in early July 2017. We were driving into the park and immediately saw a huge elk walk right in front of our car! Then we headed to the Bison Viewing Enclosure. We stopped at their lookout but saw no bison out...More

Gorgeous scenery, hiking trails everywhere along with many lakes. A fishing license is required to fish in the park ($34CAD each) separate from a Manitoba license and your hooks have to be barbless. Fished 6 different lakes from the bank with no luck.

I visited a dozen Canadian national parks this year, and Riding Mountain NP was a pleasant if not exactly overwhelming surprise. The forest is lovely and the trails worth exploring. Don't expect an actual "mountain" though!

While the park has many acres, it is very small compared to other Canadian and American National Parks. It has many lakes and lots of trails. Many of the trails are a very short 1K hike and those are more like a nice walk rather...More

1, 16, 10, 45 are all good for road bikes, paved and passable with few pot holes. 354, 262, 19 would require an off road bike or slow going on a street bike. I suggest coming in on Hwy 1 then north on Hwy 10. Stop in Onanole... More
