Every pain and effort taken by the long trek from parking to the point (1 kms) is worth it when you arrive at the point which is the most westwards poin, on a clear day may alsongive the view of the Arabian sea, there are numerous astrologers and face readers for the believing ones however very few horses as there is not much of space for the ride

From the parking area, there is about a 600m walk to the head point.
Place is maintained in decent condition. Be aware of the number of monkeys
in the area who can get too close if you are not careful.
Overall decent place to visit. Try to avoid during peak summers as not much shelter available around

This is very near to Lodwick point. It presents a very good view of surrounding mountains and valleys. You cant actually see the "Elephant Head Point", as you are standing over it. But the views are excellent.
You have to walk around one km from your car parking to reach here. Lodwock point comes before it.

It is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Mahabaleshwar. It is about 5 km from bus stand. From parking lot it's 700 meters walk through forest on a smooth road. At parking lot there are small stalls selling sugarcane juice and other things.
This point looks like elephant, therefore it's named accordingly. If you are a nature lover then this is THE place for you. The breathtaking view of valley and Sahyadri mountain is out of this world. Try to go early in the morning to avoid crowd.

Elephant head point is situated not far from Mahableshwar. You can reach by cab or own car. Road is good and parking is available at spot. No need of any guide. Just walk 5 minutes to view this beautiful sight of elephant head. During rains everything is lush green and you can see waterfalls. Good place for photography lovers. You can spend at least one hour enjoying beautiful sights. You can also see man made dam . Horses also available for riding experience. Small stalls available for Maggi or tea. Must visit place .

Much maintained point in terms of cleanliness. You get the view of the last bits of dhom dam along with the rocky structure which resembles a elephant head.

We huffed and puffed up to the Elephant's Head Point, beyond the Lodwick Point. You get a 360 degree view when you stand on the end of the mountain range. As it was the sunset time, the Sun soon captured our attention.
As the sun sets, you can see the mist rising. In the valley below, we spotted terraced farms. A nature lover will appreciate this charm. After the ball of fire had displayed its magic, we realized we must leave before it's dark as the hiking trail may become unsafe.
You wouldn't want to be walking on this trail after dark. The trail is such that it goes from romantic to eerie in minutes. Our parting shot was of a magenta sky.

June should be cooler and greener due to the rains.
Plus you will see the waterfalls.
As of now - May, its hot from late-mornings to evening.
Plus the landscape is dry.
